WE CAN HELP!
ADVANCED MICRO-NEEDLING WITH EXOSOMES

During your complimentary consult, we will discuss the various non-surgical options that will serve you best to address your hair loss which may include testing your hormones, micronutrient levels or using our advanced micro-needling technology with exosomes to rebuild your hair and your confidence!

Micro-needling with exosomes using a “mesogun” or a “meso-injector” is an advanced procedure that combines traditional micro-needling with the use of exosomes.  Exosomes are small extracellular vesicles that play a crucial role in cell-to-cell communication. In the context of hair growth, exosomes derived from stem cells have been studied for their potential regenerative and therapeutic effects and are being successfully used to stimulate hair follicles and protect your hairline.

Disclaimer: While the research on exosomes and hair growth is very promising, it’s important to note that the field is still evolving, and we support continual studies to fully understand the mechanisms and establish the efficacy of exosome-based therapies for hair loss. At Beyond, we are committed to compliance with the FDA and closely monitor all new regulations related to the use of exosomes for skin and hair.

FAQ

Why do we lose our hair?

Hair loss can occur for various reasons.

  1. Genetics (Heredity): The most common cause of hair loss is hereditary conditions, such as male-pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia) and female-pattern baldness. These conditions are influenced by genetic factors and hormonal changes.
  2. Hormonal Changes and Medical Conditions:
    • Hormonal Changes: A variety of conditions can cause permanent or temporary hair loss, including hormonal changes due to pregnancy, childbirth, menopause, and thyroid problems.
    • Medical Conditions: Certain medical conditions, such as alopecia areata, which is an immune system attack on hair follicles, and diseases like lupus and diabetes, can contribute to hair loss.
  1. Medications and Supplements:
    • Chemotherapy: The use of certain drugs, especially those used in cancer treatment (chemotherapy), can lead to hair loss. However, hair usually grows back after the treatment is completed.
    • Medications: Some medications used for conditions like arthritis, depression, heart problems, gout, and high blood pressure can cause hair loss as a side effect.
  1. Radiation Therapy: The radiation used in cancer treatment can result in hair loss in the treated area. Like with chemotherapy, hair often grows back after the treatment is complete.
  2. Aging: As individuals age, hair growth naturally slows. The rate of hair growth and the ability of hair to regenerate may decrease, leading to thinning and hair loss.
  3. Poor Nutrition: A lack of proper nutrition, especially deficiencies in iron, zinc, vitamins, and proteins, can contribute to hair loss. Crash diets and extreme weight loss can also result in temporary hair shedding.
  4. Tight Hairstyles and Traction Alopecia: Wearing hairstyles that pull the hair tight, such as ponytails or braids, can cause a type of hair loss called traction alopecia.
  5. Stress and Physical Trauma: Severe stress or traumatic events can lead to a temporary increase in hair shedding. This condition is known as telogen effluvium.
  6. Understanding the Root Cause: Understanding the specific cause of hair loss is crucial for determining the most appropriate treatment or management approach. If you’re experiencing significant hair loss or have concerns about your hair health, schedule a complimentary consult with us to discuss your specific situation and provide guidance on potential treatments.

Why Do I feel Stressed Out About My Hair Loss?

  1. Aesthetic Concerns: Our hair is often tied to our identity and how we present ourselves to the world. Losing hair can lead to concerns about changes in appearance, and individuals may worry about how others perceive them.
  2. Impact on Self-Esteem: Hair loss can have a profound impact on self-esteem. Individuals may feel less attractive or experience a loss of confidence, especially if they perceive their hair as a significant part of their identity.
  3. Social Anxiety: Some people with hair loss may feel self-conscious in social situations, avoiding activities or events where they feel their appearance could be scrutinized. This can lead to social anxiety and a reduced quality of life.
  4. Psychological Distress: Hair loss is often associated with aging, and the societal pressure to maintain a youthful appearance can contribute to psychological distress. Coping with the changes in one’s physical appearance can be challenging.
  5. Seeking Solutions: Many individuals actively seek solutions for hair loss, from over-the-counter treatments to more advanced procedures. The pursuit of solutions may add an additional layer of stress, especially when faced with the variety of available options.
  6. Perceived Loss of Control: Hair loss is sometimes seen as a loss of control over one’s body. This lack of control can lead to frustration and feelings of helplessness.

How Advanced Micro-needling with Exosomes Works?

  1. Micro-needling with Exosomes: We use a “mesogun” or “mesoinjector” device that injects the exosomes into the skin during the micro-needling process. Some centers only do traditional micro-needling as described above, and then lay the exosome product on top of the skin hoping it will be absorbed.
  2. Science Meets Beauty: In our practice, we simultaneously stimulate the body’s natural wound-healing response using the mesogun loaded with exosomes. In this way, we are able to insert the exosomes deeper into the dermis and boost results. This is an advanced procedure has the potential to provide significant benefits for hair rejuvenation and improvement.
  3. What are Exosomes?: Exosomes are tiny vesicles containing growth factors, cytokines, and other signaling molecules. These bioactive substances play a crucial role in cell-to-cell communication and tissue regeneration.

How Do Exosomes Contribute to Hair Growth?

  1. Stem Cell Signaling: Exosomes derived from stem cells contain a variety of signaling molecules, growth factors, and RNA that can influence cellular activities. When applied to the scalp, these exosomes may stimulate stem cells in the hair follicles, promoting hair growth.
  2. Anti-Inflammatory Effects: Inflammation is associated with certain types of hair loss. Exosomes have demonstrated anti-inflammatory properties, which could potentially contribute to a healthier scalp environment conducive to hair growth.
  3. Promotion of Cell Proliferation: Exosomes may stimulate the proliferation of various cell types, including dermal papilla cells and keratinocytes, which are essential for maintaining healthy hair follicles and promoting hair growth.
  4. Induction of Angiogenesis: Adequate blood supply is crucial for hair follicle health and growth. Exosomes may contribute to the induction of angiogenesis (formation of new blood vessels), ensuring improved nutrient and oxygen delivery to the hair follicles.
  5. Encouragement of Hair Follicle Stem Cell Activation: Hair follicle stem cells are essential for the regeneration and growth of hair. Exosomes may activate these stem cells, leading to the initiation of the hair growth cycle.
  6. Collagen Production: Exosomes may stimulate the production of collagen, a protein that provides structural support to the skin and hair follicles. This can contribute to a healthier and more robust environment for hair growth.
  7. Protection Against Oxidative Stress: Exosomes may possess antioxidant properties, protecting cells from oxidative stress. This can be beneficial for maintaining the health of hair follicles, as oxidative stress is implicated in certain types of hair loss.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

Micro-needling, with or without exosomes, is a powerful tool for improving skin and hair health and addressing various cosmetic concerns. The number of sessions required and the frequency of treatments depend on individual skin conditions and goals, and it’s best to consult with one of our skincare experts to determine the most suitable treatment plan.

What are Post-Treatment Care Recommendations?

After any micro-needling session, it’s essential to follow post-treatment care instructions provided by our  skincare experts. This typically includes avoiding direct sun exposure and using sunscreen to protect the treated skin. Mild redness and sensitivity are common after the procedure but typically subside within a few days.
